Job summary

Amedisys Home Health in Homewood, AL, is hiring a licensed practical nurse for a full-time, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm schedule. You will verify plans of care, collaborate with physicians, teach self-care, and ensure patient comfort at home.

The pay ranges from $20.00 to $36.00 per hour during orientation, transitioning to a point-based pay method. Eligible benefits include health plans, PTO, HSA, wellness rewards, 401(k), and family support.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical LPN experience.
• Current LPN license for the state you are assigned to work.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN frequently to ensure patient needs are met; notify if patient condition changes.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.
• Review medications and perform medication reconciliation at each visit.
• Perform physician-ordered procedures (e.g., Foley catheter changes).
• Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
