Job summary

Premise Health in Columbus, IN is seeking a Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care at Cummins Engine Health Center. The role involves medication administration, wound care, specimen collection, and maintaining a safe, compliant clinical environment.

Expect 4–10 hour shifts with a rotating schedule. Eligible candidates hold an LPN/LVN license, an NLN-accredited nursing program, and BLS certification, with at least three years' ambulatory/occupational health experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NLN-accredited nursing program.
• Current LPN/LVN license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification (AHA/ARC) for healthcare providers.
• At least three years of clinical experience in ambulatory/occupational health or ED.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under supervision and within scope of practice.
• Performs and documents medical tasks including medication administration, wound care, and specimen collection as ordered.
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures.
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As a Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents of Cummins Engine in our Health Center located in Columbus, IN.

Schedule

• 4 - 10 Hour Shifts


• Mon 8am - 7pm; Wed - Fri 7am - 6 pm (off Tuesday) ORMon 8am - 7pm; Tues -Thu 7am - 6pm (off Friday)


• Sat Rotation 8:00 am - 12:00 pm (approx every 6 weeks)

What You’ll Do

• Provides direct patient care and collaboration under the supervision of healthcare providers, and within scope of practice


• Performs and documents medical tasks to include medication administration wound care, observes reactions to treatments, and specimen collection such as urine, blood, and sputum based on provider orders


• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures


• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records


• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Graduate of National League for Nursing accredited program, Associate's degree (A.S.) and/or equivalent from two-year college or technical school


• Currently Licensed as a Practical or Vocational Nurse in state of practice required


• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required


• At least three years of clinical experience as LPN/LVN in an ambulatory care, occupational health, or emergency department setting
