Job summary

Community Care Physicians is seeking a full-time LPN for our Schodack Internal Medicine and Pediatrics office. This 40-hour/week position runs Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm, with a $3,500 recruitment and retention bonus potential.

You will administer vaccines, document conversations and entries in the patient record, maintain patient flow, prepare patients for visits, collect specimens, enter orders, and assist with procedures under the provider's direction.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS LPN license.
• Previous LPN experience in a medical practice or as Medical Assistant/Patient Care Tech.
• Strong computer skills with EMR experience.
• Knowledge of nursing principles, infection control and patient confidentiality.
• Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Administer and record vaccines.
• Document verbal conversations with patients when appropriate.
• Document information into patient record in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
• Maintain timely patient flow.
• Prepare patient for visit as appropriate, based on office/provider requirements.
• Obtain specimens (i.e. urine, blood, etc.) from patients as directed by the provider.
• Accurate and timely order entry into the lab system.
• Perform clinical office procedures as directed by the provider (i.e. PFT, EKG, nebulizer, medication administration and immunizations).
• Process patient prescriptions.
• Discuss test results with patients per provider's instructions.

Compensation

$26.00 - $33.00 per hour
