Job summary

Carle Health seeks a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, under supervision, and modify plans of care as needed. A sign-on bonus applies for qualified candidates, with relocation assistance available if moving 50+ miles.

The role requires an Associate's Degree and PTA license (IDFPR) with BLS within 30 days and board-eligibility for next board exam, plus ongoing continuing education on acute stroke care.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in a related field.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) (IDFPR) or eligible.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire (AHA).
• Board eligible/required to complete the board exam at next date and complete CE for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response after communicating with the evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation per Clinical Documentation Policy CTSCP67.
• If applicable, completes annual education for DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program requirements.
