Job summary

VHS Rehabilitation is hiring a Licensed Physical Therapist to join our team across multiple Virginia locations including Hampton, Newport News, Williamsburg, Yorktown, Gloucester, and Kilmarnock. We offer full-time, part-time and per diem opportunities with daily pay and weekend incentives.

Responsibilities include evaluating residents, creating individualized plans, delivering evidence-based therapy, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team to restore mobility and independence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current Virginia Physical Therapist license in good standing.
• Evidence of clearance per state regulations (exam/diseases).
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide skilled treatments to improve mobility, strength, balance, and function.
• Monitor progress, adjust plans, and document evaluations and outcomes.
• Communicate resident progress with residents, families, physicians, nurses, and the team.
• Participate in care planning meetings and facility committees as appropriate.
• Maintain professional standards and protect resident rights and confidentiality.
• Engage in continuing education to maintain competency.

$45-$60/hour (all inclusive)

Responsibilities for Licensed Physical Therapist:

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and resident goals.

• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments designed to improve mobility, strength, balance, function, and overall quality of life.

• Monitor resident progress, modify treatment plans as appropriate, and accurately document all evaluations, treatments, and outcomes.

• Communicate resident progress, needs, and recommendations with residents, families, physicians, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

• Participate in care planning meetings, facility committees, and community education initiatives as appropriate.

• Maintain professional standards of practice while protecting resident rights and confidentiality.

• Participate in continuing education and professional development to maintain clinical competency and stay current with best practices.

Qualifications for Licensed Physical Therapist:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program required.

• Current, active, and unencumbered Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia is required.

• Evidence of a current satisfactory physical examination and/or freedom from communicable diseases as required by state regulations.

• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
