Job summary

VHS Rehabilitation is seeking a Rehab Technician to support the therapy team in delivering safe, resident-centered rehabilitation services. The position offers full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities with the benefit of Daily Pay, across locations including Hampton, Newport News, Williamsburg, Yorktown, Gloucester and Kilmarnock.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, valid CPR certification, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid CPR certification required.
• Previous experience in healthcare or skilled nursing preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to safely assist residents with mobility, transfers, and therapeutic exercises.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), and Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) staff during therapy sessions.
• Prepare, set up, and clean therapy equipment and treatment areas to ensure safety and readiness for use.
• Escort residents to and from therapy sessions safely and promptly.
• Monitor resident safety during therapy activities and report any changes in condition to licensed therapy staff.
• Document resident participation and assist in maintaining accurate therapy records as directed.
• Maintain clean, organized, and efficient therapy spaces and equipment storage areas.
• Support therapists in encouraging resident engagement, motivation, and participation in rehabilitation activities.
