Job summary

VHS Rehabilitation in Virginia is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist to join a dedicated rehab team. Opportunities include full-time, part-time, and per diem roles across multiple locations in the region, with daily pay and flexible contract options (30/60/90 days).

A strong emphasis on evidence-based care and resident-centered goals drives this role. The candidate must hold an accredited PT degree and a current Virginia license, with the ability to collaborate across interdisciplinary teams

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current, active Virginia Physical Therapist license required.
• Evidence of a current satisfactory physical examination or freedom from communicable diseases as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide skilled PT treatments to improve mobility, strength, balance, and function.
• Monitor progress, adjust plans, and document evaluations and outcomes.
• Communicate resident progress with residents, families, physicians, nursing staff, and the inter-disciplinary team.
• Participate in care planning meetings and facility committees as appropriate.
• Maintain professional standards and protect resident rights and confidentiality.
• Pursue continuing education to maintain clinical competency.

Responsibilities for Licensed Physical Therapist:

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and resident goals.
• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments designed to improve mobility, strength, balance, function, and overall quality of life.
• Monitor resident progress, modify treatment plans as appropriate, and accurately document all evaluations, treatments, and outcomes.
• Communicate resident progress, needs, and recommendations with residents, families, physicians, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in care planning meetings, facility committees, and community education initiatives as appropriate.
• Maintain professional standards of practice while protecting resident rights and confidentiality.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development to maintain clinical competency and stay current with best practices.

Qualifications for Licensed Physical Therapist:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program required.
• Current, active, and unencumbered Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia is required.
• Evidence of a current satisfactory physical examination and/or freedom from communicable diseases as required by state regulations.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
