Qualifications

• Active PE license in the posting state or by comity within 90 days.
• 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection with client-facing responsibility.
• Proven ability to bring in work or a credible plan to do so.
• Comfort with pricing, negotiating, and rejecting unfavorable contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a client book for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms and convert opportunities to signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record: review data, resolve issues, and seal reports.
• Direct technicians and inspectors; coordinate with laboratory scheduling.
• Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events.
