Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking licensed Professional Engineers to serve as seller-doer engineers in our Alaska market. You will hunter and engineer in tandem, developing client relationships while reviewing data, sealing geotechnical letters, and leading project teams on testing and inspection work.

Expect a base salary in the range of $115,000 to $150,000 with revenue-based incentives. Travel to client offices and jobsites is required; Sugar Land laboratory support is mentioned for

Qualifications

• PE license in civil/geotechnical/structural engineering, or ability to obtain by comity within 90 days.
• 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection with client-facing responsibilities.
• Proven track record of bringing in work or a credible market plan.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a book of clients—general contractors, owners, developers and design firms—for materials testing, special inspection and geotechnical services.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record on won projects: review field and laboratory data, seal reports/letters; direct technicians and coordinate with the lab.
• Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings and industry events in the market.
