Job summary

LensCrafters is recruiting a full-time Assistant Manager in Fredericksburg, VA. The role acts as a leader in the absence or support of the Store Manager and operates as a business owner within the LensCrafters organization.

You will drive performance metrics and deliver a personal approach to eye care in the community. Key duties include team leadership, training, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Current & valid state Opticianry license.
• 1+ year(s) management/supervisory experience with direct reports.
• Knowledge of retail operations, processes & policies.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Familiarity with cash register, computers & calculators.
• Must have a strong command of the English language for all written correspondence & oral communication.
• Strong communicator & listener.
• Demonstrated high level of selling skills.
• Proven ability to problem solve.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality and improvement to meet or exceed KPIs including Comp Sales, Conversion, Customer Count, and Profitability.
• Supports store manager in diagnosing the business and leveraging Retail, Lab & Doctor synergies.
• Helps recruit and develops a strong talent pipeline for the store.
• Leads the team, provides training and constructive feedback, and ensures store policies are followed.
• Maintains strong relationship with doctors and ensures a safe, compliant work environment.
• Works a schedule including nights and weekends.
• Performs administrative duties and ensures accurate eyewear fittings and measurements.
