Job summary

EssilorLuxottica is seeking an Assistant Manager for our LensCrafters location in Fredericksburg, VA. The role focuses on leading store operations in the manager’s absence, delivering key performance results, and owning the customer experience within the marketplace.

You will support the store manager, train team members, drive sales and exams growth, and help recruit a strong talent pipeline while upholding company policies and visual standards.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Current and valid state Opticianry license.
• 1+ year of management or supervisory experience with direct reports.
• Knowledge of retail operations, processes and policies.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators.
• Must have strong command of English for written and oral communication.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Demonstrated selling skills.
• Proven ability to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality and improvement to meet or exceed KPIs including sales, conversion, traffic and profitability.
• Supports the store manager in diagnosing the business and leveraging synergies of retail, lab and doctor.
• Leads a team through training, guidance and performance feedback.
• Supports recruiting and staffing to create a strong talent pipeline.
• Ensures store staffing aligns with guidelines and visual standards.
• Maintains a positive working relationship with doctors and ensures policy compliance.
• Performs administrative duties and maintains a safe working environment.
• Works a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Under an opticianry license, provides product knowledge on lens choices and performs measurements.
