Job summary

LensCrafters in Asheville, NC is seeking a Licensed Optician (Part-Time) to deliver exceptional eyewear and service. You will fit glasses precisely, record measurements and guide customers through frame and lens choices to meet their vision needs.

You will act as a leader in optical knowledge, use iPad/tablet for prescriptions and sales, maintain store appearance, and ensure compliance with company policies while providing a high-quality customer experience.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• State Licensure required.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Strong customer service, communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of store merchandise and basic math.
• Familiar with POS, tablets and calculators.
• Willingness to adopt new technology.
• Retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and set expectations.
• Custom fit glasses and record prescriptions.
• Lead in optical knowledge and customer service.
• Take and record measurements; adjust eyewear with care.
• Assist team with complex product needs and prescriptions.
• Use technology and tools accurately under time pressure.
