Job summary

LensCrafters in Asheville, NC is seeking a Licensed Optician to deliver the brand value and provide legendary customer service while crafting high-quality eyewear for our customers.

You will welcome customers, take precise measurements, fit eyewear, and stay current with fashion trends. State licensure and optical dispensing experience are required; proficiency with iPad sales and POS systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• State Licensure required.
• Optical dispensing experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener & team builder.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise and fashion trends.
• Selling skills using an iPad/tablet and familiarity with POS
• Ability to use basic math and computers.

Responsibilities

• Welcome all customers and set expectations.
• Custom fit glasses and place prescription in lenses.
• Lead in optical knowledge and customer service excellence.
• Take and record measurements; adjust eyewear precisely.
• Assist team with complex product needs and prescriptions.
• Utilize technology efficiently under time pressure and high customer volume.
• Ensure store appearance is clean, attractive and organized.
• Provide safe work practices and report safety opportunities.
• Engage in ongoing learning and improvements.
• Adhere to company policies on discounts, promotions, and inventory.
