Job summary

LensCrafters is seeking a Licensed Optician to deliver exceptional customer service and expertly fit glasses. You will measure, adjust eyewear, and ensure side-by-side accuracy with prescriptions while maintaining brand standards.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• State licensure.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Awareness of current fashion trends.
• Sales skills – ability to use & carry an iPad or tablet.
• Familiarity with POS, computers & calculators.
• Embrace new technology and change.

Responsibilities

• Welcome all customers and set expectations.
• Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
• Act as a leader in optical acumen.
• Take and record measurements, accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail.
• Assist team with complex product needs and prescriptions.
• Use technology accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume.
• Be proactive, exploring root causes of issues, forward thinking, ensuring customers are satisfied, expectations exceeded, and solutions driven.
• Multi‑task, prioritize and manage time with competing priorities.
• Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
• Take pride in store appearance, keeping store clean, attractive and organized.
• Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.
