Job summary

AEG Vision in Florida is seeking a Licensed Optician to provide eyewear solutions and patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, verify measurements, dispense glasses, and ensure proper fit and comfort.

You will interpret prescriptions, enter data into the EHR, discuss insurance benefits, warranty coverage, and promote add-on services. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential in delivering outstanding patient experiences.

Qualifications

• State Licensure is required to practice as an Optician.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Optical dispensing experience is essential.
• Knowledge of insurance terms, benefits and copays is preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and offer eyewear solutions tailored to prescription and lifestyle.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and coatings with good fit and comfort.
• Interpret prescriptions from Optometrists and Ophthalmologists and enter data into EHR.
• Explain insurance coverage, warranties, and replacement options to patients.
• Dispense glasses, adjust for proper fit, and ensure patient satisfaction.
• Coordinate with technicians and managers to track orders and updates.
