Job summary

Visionworks is seeking an part-time Optical Dispenser in Quincy, MA. You will assist customers with frame and lens selection, interpret prescriptions, and coordinate with labs and optometrists to ensure accurate dispensing of eyewear.

You will explain product options, assist with insurance benefits, and maintain a clean, organized dispensing area while adhering to privacy and health and safety standards. This role requires state licensure and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold applicable state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing.
• Ability to explain optical products, lens options, and services.
• Experience interpreting and applying prescriptions.
• Strong customer communication and sales skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with frame and lens selection while maintaining social distance.
• Interpret prescriptions and coordinate with lab/optometrist for accuracy.
• Sell, fit, and dispense frames and accessories with precise measurements.
• Educate customers on frame options and insurance benefits.
• Maintain a clean, organized dispensing area and accurate pricing.
