Visionworks in Pembroke, MA is seeking an ophthalmic dispensing associate to assist customers in frame and lens selection and dispensing while interpreting prescriptions and coordinating with labs and optometrists. The role requires high school diploma and active state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing, and compliance with HIPAA and privacy policies.

This is a part-time position with pay ranging from $27 to $40.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain applicable state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing.
• Ability to explain optical products, services, and the analysis and interpretation of optical prescriptions.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with frame and lens selection and dispense frames.
• Ensure compliance with social distancing and cleaning protocols.
• Provide customers with accurate product information regarding frames, lenses, and services.
• Assist customers insured by Third Party insurance with accurate coverage information and any charges not covered.
• Utilize SERVE sales process to identify needs and make lens recommendations.
• Analyze and interpret patients' prescriptions and coordinate with Lab and Optometrist for accuracy.
• Sell, fit and dispense frames and accessories with precise measurements and verifications.
• Maintain a clean and orderly dispensing area.
• Ensure pricing accuracy for retail customers.
• Maintain required State licensure per guidelines.
