Qualifications

• Must have and maintain applicable state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing.
• Knowledge and demonstrated abilities in explaining optical products, services, the analysis and interpretation of optical prescriptions, fitting and dispensing.
• Ability to interact with customers and insurers regarding benefits and any charges not covered by insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with frame and lens selection meeting social distance requirements.
• Provide customers with accurate product information regarding frames, lens selections and other services.
• Explain benefits and charges to insured customers to ensure proper selection of frames and lenses.
• Utilize the SERVE sales process to identify customer needs and establish proper lens recommendations.
• Analyze and interpret patients’ prescriptions and coordinate with Lab and Optometrist for accuracy.
• Sell, fit and dispense frames and accessories with precise measurements and verifications.
• Maintain a clean and orderly dispensing area and ensure pricing accuracy.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and security compliance.
• Participate in training and obligations to meet departmental goals.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and workstations; adapt to changing needs.
