Warby Parker is seeking skilled Opticians in New York to join our in-house optical team, delivering expert customer service and eyewear fitting. You’ll take measurements, ensure precise adjustments, and verify that eyewear meets optical standards and customer requests.

You’ll explain prescription terms, guide customers in frame/lens choices, and collaborate with teammates to share best practices and uphold our brand values.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician in licensing states or ABO-certified in non-licensing states.
• Passionate about eyewear and retail industries.
• Clear, effective communicator who explains terms to customers.
• Dedicated to going above and beyond to make customers and teammates happy.
• Energetic, positive team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Extremely detail-oriented with broad responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to meet eyewear needs.
• Take and record measurements, adjust eyewear with flawless accuracy.
• Check finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer specs.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Collaborate with your team to deliver exceptional service.
• Help customers choose frames and lenses based on prescription, face, style and lifestyle.
• Share best practices for sales and service across the organization.
• Represent Warby Parker and educate others about our values and mission.
