Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking skilled Opticians to join our team of in-house optical specialists in New York. You will become an expert in our glasses and help customers see with confidence, while upholding our brand and values.

You will take measurements, fit eyewear, and ensure products meet standards and customer requests. A licensed dispensing optician or ABO-certified professional is required, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid dispensing optician license or ABO certification.
• Passionate about eyewear and retail industries.
• Clear, effective communicator who can simplify technical terms for customers.
• Detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple responsibilities.
• Energetic, positive team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Not on the LEIE list.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to meet eyewear needs.
• Take and record measurements, fit eyewear with accuracy.
• Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requests.
• Explain prescription terminology and product options to customers.
• Collaborate with team to deliver exceptional service.
• Help customers choose frames and lenses based on prescription, face fit, style, and lifestyle.
• Develop best practices for sales and customer service across the organization.
• Represent the Warby Parker brand and values.
