Job summary

Warby Parker in New Jersey is seeking a skilled optician to join our in-store team. You will work directly with customers to meet eyewear needs, take and record measurements, adjust eyewear, and ensure each piece meets optical standards and customer requests.

You will explain prescription terminology, help customers choose frames and lenses based on prescription, face shape, and lifestyle, and collaborate with your team to share best practices.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician in states that require a license.
• ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states.
• Passionate about eyewear and retail industries.
• Clear, effective communicator who explains terms clearly.
• Detail-oriented with ability to juggle many tasks.
• Energetic, positive team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Open-minded, willing to learn and adapt.
• Not on LEIE list.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to help meet eyewear needs.
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear accurately.
• Check eyewear against optical standards and customer requests.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings.
• Collaborate with team to ensure exceptional service.
• Assist customers in choosing frames and lenses based on prescription, face fit, style, and lifestyle.
• Help develop best practices for sales and customer service across the organization.
• Represent the Warby Parker brand and educate customers about our values.
