Job summary

AEG Vision seeks a Licensed Optician to deliver expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in choosing frames, lenses, and coatings that fit prescriptions and lifestyle, while ensuring proper measurements and alignment.

The role emphasizes accurate dispensing, patient education, insurance navigation, and high-quality customer service. You will work with technicians and doctors, manage orders, and maintain a clean, professional practice environment.

Qualifications

• State Licensure (required) and active license.
• High School diploma or GED.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Optical dispensing experience required.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.
• Proficient PC skills: MS Office, Windows, and word processing.
• Strong organizational and detail orientation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; customer service focus.
• Dexterity for handling lenses and frames.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories.
• Ensure proper frame fit, measurements, and lens dispensing.
• Explain products, warranties, and pricing to patients.
• Take and track orders; update patients on status and delays.
• Educate patients on eyewear care and insurance coverage.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and equipment.
• Collaborate with technicians and managers on order status.
