Job summary

Warby Parker in Hoboken is seeking a skilled Optician to join our in-house optical team. You will take measurements, fit eyewear, ensure optical standards, and clearly explain prescriptions while delivering exceptional customer service.

A licensed dispensing optician (or ABO-certified) with a passion for eyewear and strong communication will thrive in our fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with teammates to share best practices and educate customers about our frames and lenses.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed dispensing optician (or ABO-certified in non-licensing states).
• Passionate about eyewear and retail industries.
• Clear, effective communicator who can explain technical terms to customers.
• Detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple responsibilities.
• Team player with a positive attitude and adaptability.
• Not on the LEIE list.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to help meet eyewear needs.
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with accuracy.
• Check that finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Collaborate with team to implement best practices across the organization.
• Represent Warby Parker and communicate our values to educate customers.
