Job summary

AEG is seeking a Licensed Optician in Lima, OH to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will help patients choose frames and lenses that fit prescription, lifestyle, and appearance, while ensuring accurate measurements and proper dispensing.

You will work closely with optometrists and technicians, staying current on products, insurance, and warranty options, and delivering a positive, personalized patient experience.

Qualifications

• State licensure is required.
• ABO/NCLE is preferred but not required.
• Experience in optical dispensing is required.
• HIPAA knowledge is preferred.
• PC skills (Office suite, Windows) are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service with sales experience.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories based on prescription, lifestyle and style.
• Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements, and correct lens dispensing.
• Update EHR/ALE with prescription data and maintain documentation.
• Provide exceptional patient service and education on lens options and warranties.
• Communicate with technicians and managers about order status and delays.
