AEG Vision is seeking a Licensed Optician in Lima, OH, to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients with frame selection, lens options, and fittings, ensuring precise measurements, insurance coordination, and outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Must hold state optician licensure.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred but not required.
• Optical dispensing experience required.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.
• Computer skills: MS Office, Windows, and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories based on prescription, lifestyle, and style.
• Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements, and correct lens dispensing.
• Explain products and services and provide exceptional patient service.
• Receive handoffs from technicians/doctors and ask lifestyle questions to determine visual needs.
• Keep up-to-date with products, rebates, and lens/frame options.
• Interpret prescriptions and enter data into the EHR/ALE system.
• Communicate order status to patients and resolve any issues.
• Inspect final product and ensure proper fit and adjustments.
