Job summary

LensCrafters is seeking a Licensed Optician in Asheville, NC, for a part-time position delivering exceptional customer service and precise eyewear fitting. You will custom-fit glasses, record measurements, and ensure each pair meets quality standards while representing the LensCrafters brand with integrity.

The role requires state licensure and optical dispensing experience, along with strong math skills and familiarity with iPads/tablets, POS systems, and store merchandise.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State licensure required.
• Optical dispensing experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of current eyewear merchandise.
• Basic math skills.
• Awareness of fashion trends.
• Selling skills and comfort with an iPad/tablet.
• Familiarity with POS, computers and calculators.

Responsibilities

• Welcome all customers and set expectations.
• Custom fit glasses and place prescription in lenses.
• Lead with optical knowledge and recommendations.
• Take and record measurements; adjust eyewear with precision.
• Assist team with complex product needs and prescriptions.
• Maintain product knowledge; use tools effectively under time pressure.
• Multitask and manage priorities to meet customer flow.
• Strive for excellence on Brand KPIs and store standards.
• Keep store appearance clean, attractive and organized.
