Job summary

National Vision is seeking an Assistant Eyeglass Manager to lead the eyeglass department, drive sales and supervise staff. You will forecast staffing needs, recruit and retain a high-caliber team while maintaining quality standards and policy compliance.

The role emphasizes customer service excellence, merchandising execution, and mentorship of junior opticians in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

Maintain Optical license as required by the state.
Optical sales experience; supervising experience preferred.
Ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
Strong understanding of store operations and standards.
Excellent communication for team management.
Organizational skills for planning and progress tracking.
ABO and NCLE certification.

Responsibilities

Drives, monitors, and achieves profit, sales and performance goals according to National Vision standards.
Oversees eyeglass department efficiency and compliance with policies.
Provides outstanding customer service and ensures the same from associates.
Ensures quality standards are met across operations.
Manages merchandising, pricing promotions, and brand initiatives.
Supervises Opticians and Sales associates and daily functions.
Assists GM with staffing forecasts, recruiting and retention.
Leads and coaches staff toward sales and service goals.
Mentors Apprentice Opticians where permitted by law.
