Job summary

National Vision is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations at Eyeglass World. You will drive sales, lead a team of associates including opticians, and ensure top-tier customer service and an exceptional shopping experience.

You’ll balance staffing, coordinate with doctors, monitor promotions, and report performance to leadership. Sundays off are noted in the posting. This role offers growth within National Vision’s family of brands.

Qualifications

• Optical sales experience; supervising experience is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Sound understanding of store operations and standards for success.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written) for effective team management.
• Able to present clear information and respond to questions from managers, associates, and customers.
• Strong organizational skills for planning work and monitoring progress toward goals.
• Ability to analyze, create, and understand financial reports.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems of varied scope.

Responsibilities

• Drive and achieve profit, sales and performance goals according to National Vision standards.
• Monitor sales results against budgeted figures.
• Ensure all store associates maintain the highest level of customer service.
• Maintain awareness of same-day service using the Ready When Promised board.
• Communicate with the General Manager, District Manager, and Corporate Office and provide store reporting.
• Develop and maintain relationships with doctors affiliated with the store and act as liaison between doctor and staff.
• Ensure store promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising are in place.
• Supervise and motivate Optician/Sales Associates and ensure day-to-day tasks are completed on time.
• Assist the General Manager with staffing, recruiting and retaining a high-caliber team.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
