Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking a Licensed Optical Supervisor for our Soho, NYC location. You will leverage expertise in eyewear to guide customers, take precise measurements, and ensure products meet both standards and client expectations.

You will lead the Optical team, including apprentice participants, and partner with store management to maintain operations, inventory, and outstanding service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician with a valid license for the relevant state.
• 2+ years of supervisor experience in optical settings.
• ABO certification or equivalent credentials.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities to guide a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with eyewear needs and take accurate measurements.
• Record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with precision.
• Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer specs.
• Explain prescription terminology and product options to customers.
• Lead store operations and mentor the Optical team, including apprentice program participants.
• Maintain inventory databases and store systems to support daily operations.
• Foster a productive, positive team culture and high service levels.
