Warby Parker in Sarasota seeks an Optical Supervisor to lead the in-store optical team, perform duties, and ensure exceptional customer experiences. As a keyholder, you will open and close the store, mentor staff, and uphold Warby Parker standards while delivering accurate eyewear fittings.

Ideal candidates bring a licensed dispensing optician credential or ABO certification, 2+ years of supervisory experience, and a passion for eyewear.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician in states that require a license or ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states.
• 2+ years of experience including supervisor responsibilities.
• Passionate about eyewear and retail.
• Clear, effective communicator who can explain terms to customers.
• Detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Not on the Office of Inspector General's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

Responsibilities

• Perform optical duties and meet customers' eyewear needs.
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with accuracy.
• Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requests.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Lead store operations as a keyholder and set daily store up for success.
• Mentor the Optical team, including apprentice program participants.
• Maintain store systems, inventory databases, and business operations.
• Foster a productive, positive employee culture.
