Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support patients across all ages under OT supervision. You will assist with assessments, implement treatment plans, and document progress in accordance with department policies.

You will work with neonatal through geriatric populations and collaborate with the inpatient team. This role emphasizes compassionate care, accurate charting, and teamwork within Mercy's mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current license or licensure eligibility as OTA.
• One year experience preferred; new graduates considered.
• BLS certification required and current.

Responsibilities

• Assist with initial patient assessments under OT supervision and department policy.
• Document progress notes and determine continued need for treatment.
• Administer modalities, exercises, or procedures per policy.
• Maintain patient records and documentation of charges.
• Promote departmental education and knowledge sharing.
• Apply knowledge of age-specific needs from neonatal to geriatric.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Inpatient Physical Medicine Supervisor.
