Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking a Licensed Dispensing Optician (LDO) to analyze prescriptions and provide the highest quality vision care. The LDO will fit, measure, and adjust eyeglasses, oversee all prescriptions, and help patients understand their insurance benefits.

You will guide patients through eyewear selection, use optical tools for accurate fitting, and contribute to a positive patient experience while supporting sales goals and promotions.

Qualifications

• Must be State Board Certified Licensed Dispensing Optician.
• AA or BA/BS in related field is desirable.
• 2-5 years of related eyewear experience in a similar office environment.
• Strong retail/office experience addressing a broad spectrum of customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by understanding patient needs.
• Guide patients in eyewear selection using product knowledge.
• Converse with patients to analyze and assess vision problems and needs.
• Provide oversight on all prescriptions throughout the office.
• Maximize sales using the company’s sales concepts and promotions.
• Explain insurance benefits and help patients maximize coverage.
• Utilize pupillometer, PD ruler and other aids for proper fit.
• Notify patients when eyewear is complete and assist with dispensing.
• Ensure pricing accuracy and manage orders waiting for pickup.
• Maintain clean, merchandised displays and assist in training.
• Attend office meetings and participate in training.
