Job summary

Empower Mental Health invites licensed Audiologists to join as a Compensation & Pension (C&P) evaluator. This non-treatment role focuses on evaluation, testing, and documentation for Veterans, with no ongoing patient care or insurance billing.

The position is a 1099 independent contractor with flexible scheduling and options for in-person evaluations to support Veterans. Ideal candidates hold an active Audiologist license, have access to essential audiology equipment, and are adept at precise

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Audiologist license.
• Access to a calibrated audiometer for VA evaluations.
• Access to a diagnostic tympanometer for tympanometry and reflex testing.
• Master's Degree or higher in relevant field.
• Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
• Ability to follow structured evaluation protocols.
• Comfortable with objective, fact-based evaluations.
• Comfortable performing Maryland CNC speech testing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct C&P audiology evaluations for Veterans.
• Perform structured hearing loss and tinnitus evaluations per VA guidelines.
• Review medical records and obtain focused history.
• Perform audiometric testing and document findings.
• Prepare reports in VA-required formats.
• Provide objective findings without bias.
• Submit reports within required timeframes.
• Maintain boundaries between evaluation and treatment.
• Adhere to ethical, legal and confidentiality requirements.
