Job summary

AEG Vision in New York City is seeking a Licensed Assistant Practice Manager to inspire and support the team, deliver exceptional patient care, and achieve meaningful business results. This hands-on leadership role involves daily operations, patient flow, team coordination, and developing people while preparing for expanded responsibilities over time.

Qualifications

• State Licensure required.
• Extensive dispensing experience is required.
• Experience in optical, healthcare, retail, or comparable service/operations.
• 1–2 years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and collaboration skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to learn and function across multiple practice positions to support patient care and operations.

Responsibilities

• Support the Practice Manager with daily operations, patient flow, team coordination, and service execution.
• Work actively on the practice floor and assist across practice functions to support patient care, staffing gaps, and operational execution.
• Learn and support key practice roles, including patient care coordination, optical sales, technician/clinical support, and front desk operations.
• Support assigned areas of responsibility such as front desk flow, optical floor support, and clinical/technician workflows.
• Help identify patient service concerns and escalate issues when needed.
• Review basic reporting and daily results with the Practice Manager to understand trends and opportunities.
• Participate in onboarding, coaching, and team development activities.
