South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles is seeking a License Examiner II in Spartanburg, SC to administer road tests, determine applicant eligibility, and issue licenses and registrations. The role emphasizes outstanding customer service in a public-service environment and requires a valid SC driver’s license and a background check.

You will work at the Spartanburg DMV Branch, interact with customers, process fees, and perform related clerical and testing duties in a fast-paced setting.

Competenze

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have a valid South Carolina driver's license and be at least 21 years of age with one year driving experience.
• Nationwide criminal background check including fingerprinting is required.

Mansioni

• Administers road test examinations for multiple vehicle classes (A, B, C, D, E, F, M) and CDL where applicable.
• Determines applicant fitness and administers knowledge tests; conducts pre-trip inspections.
• Issues licenses, registrations and related documents; processes transfers, titles, and miscellaneous requests.
• Answers customer inquiries by phone and in person; greets and directs customers to the appropriate areas.
• Collects required fees and donations; reconciles daily reports and prepares refund documents.
• Performs routine maintenance on field equipment and handles related administrative tasks.
• Faxes, mails documents, and runs errands for the branch office.
