Job summary

Vincennes University’s library seeks a Technical Services Coordinator to oversee cataloging, archival materials, and digital projects. The role reports to the Director of Library Services and includes supervising student workers, coordinating with staff, and contributing to programming and outreach.

The successful candidate will manage metadata workflows, support reference services, and help maintain online resources while engaging with the campus community and local partners.

Qualifications

• Understanding of cataloging principles and best practices.
• Experience with historical materials or archives is preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of OCLC WorldShare Management Services (WMS).
• Ability to supervise student employees and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cataloging operations for university library materials.
• Catalog and classify print and electronic resources with appropriate metadata.
• Train and supervise Technical Services staff and student workers.
• Develop online library content and assist with outreach and programming.
• Collaborate with colleagues on exhibits, events, and partnerships.
• Provide reference services to campus community as needed.
• Prepare materials for processing and accessioning.
