Vincennes University’s library seeks a Technical Services Coordinator to oversee cataloging, archival materials, and digital projects. The role reports to the Director of Library Services and includes supervising student workers, coordinating with staff, and contributing to programming and outreach.
The successful candidate will manage metadata workflows, support reference services, and help maintain online resources while engaging with the campus community and local partners.
The Technical Services Coordinator is a full-time, 12-monthprofessional staff position with benefits. This position reportsdirectly to the Director of Library Services. The TechnicalServices Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and activelyparticipating in technical services operations, includingcataloging, and campus archives.
This position also contributes to library programming and studentengagement by supporting academic needs through outreach,programming, reference services, and other library-relatedactivities as required.
The successful candidate will have experience working in a librarysetting; strong oral and written communication skills; and theability to work effectively with students and staff from diversebackgrounds. The candidate must be able to respond to and resolvelibrary issues professionally, collaborate in a team-orientedenvironment with library staff and campus departments, demonstrateinitiative and innovative programming ideas, manage multiplepriorities with attention to detail, and provide excellent customerservice.
Preferred working knowledge of Windows-based systems andapplications, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, OCLClibrary software, and the WorldShare Management System (WMS) withcataloging, acquisitions, and circulation modules. Software systemsare updated frequently and require ongoing retraining.
