Job summary

New York University School of Law seeks a Systems & Technology Librarian to join the Technology & Digital Initiatives (TDI) team. The role administers the Law Library’s systems, including software, hardware, and webpages, and contributes to technology projects that support innovative initiatives in collaboration with the TDI team.

The position supports a dynamic, sustainable technology future for the Law Library, delivering training and assessments and coordinating with colleagues on

Qualifications

• ALA-accredited MLS or equivalent.
• High proficiency with library IT applications.
• Experience with Alma/Primo or other ILS and e-resource tools.
• Familiarity with APIs and programming/markup languages (XML, Perl, PHP, Python, SQL).

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary administrator of the Law Library website in collaboration with Law IT and Communications.
• Maintain website pages and ensure content is up-to-date.
• Provide training and support to librarians, staff, faculty, and students on library technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on systems-related services and projects.
• Curate and regularly update LibGuides to align with curricula and user needs.
• Handle data requests and prepare assessments from library systems.
