Job summary

Brooklyn Law School seeks a Systems and Emerging Technologies Librarian to manage the Library's systems, hardware, software, web services, and applications. Reporting to the Director of the Library, the role supports digital resources, authentication, and emerging technologies with a hybrid work environment.

The librarian will oversee integration, training, and policy development while collaborating with IT, Acquisitions, and staff to ensure accessible, high‑quality library services.

Qualifications

• MLS/MLIS or equivalent required.
• Experience with library systems and technology is preferred.
• Ability to train staff and support users.

Responsibilities

• Administer library systems, hardware, software, and web services to ensure reliable access.
• Oversee electronic resources lifecycle and authentication platform.
• Evaluate and implement emerging library technologies and policies.
• Provide training and support for staff and faculty on library tech.
• Collaborate with campus IT and vendors on system issues and upgrades.
• Manage digital collections and institutional repository workflows.
• Support reference services and library instruction.
