Job summary

Brooklyn Law School in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Systems and Emerging Technologies Librarian to lead the management, configuration, and maintenance of the Library’s systems and applications, and to supervise electronic resources and authentication platforms.

Reporting to the Director of the Library, the role focuses on planning, implementation, collaboration with IT and vendors, training staff, and advancing digital services while supporting access and research across our academic community.

Qualifications

• MLS or equivalent from an ALA‑accredited library school.
• Demonstrated expertise and aptitude for learning technology related to job duties.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Knowledge of legal electronic information resources.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience, however, experience can be substituted with relevant education.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain library systems, hardware, software, web services, and applications.
• Oversee electronic resources and authentication platform lifecycle with Acquisitions Librarian.
• Evaluate, configure, and support emerging technologies used by the library.
• Provide training and support for staff, faculty, and students on library tools.
• Develop policies, workflows, and documentation for library technology.
• Collaborate with library staff, campus IT, and vendors on system issues.
