Washington-Centerville Public Library in Centerville, OH is seeking a a Public Services Team Leader to supervise a small desk staff and deliver premier front desk service. You will guide patrons, assist with checkout, and ensure a library experience that delights customers across fast-paced shifts.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, five years in customer service, and three years of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience with directly-reporting staff.
• Strong customer service orientation with five years serving the public.
• Minimum of two years of project management and training experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with desktop publishing, web, and MS Office software.
• Demonstrated ability to lead in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Train, supervise, develop, and evaluate personnel.
• Mentor and coach departmental work performance.
• Coordinate, assign, and oversee tasks and projects.
• Interview and help recommend candidates for open positions.
• Provide outstanding customer service both in person and by phone.
• Circulation desk duties, including check-in, check out, holds.
• Assist patrons with library catalog and services.
• Lead at desk with sorting and shelving tasks.
• Be a strong team player and collaborate with staff.
