Job summary

The IT Technician role at Library Systems & Services Llc provides customer service oriented technical support, ensuring full IT functionality for staff and library patrons. You will train staff on new systems and software and communicate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities include hands-on support at multiple sites, basic networking, and coordinating with vendors to maintain the IT environment. Strong communication and foundational IT knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Must communicate with diverse populations; bilingual a plus.
• Basic knowledge of computer networking, hardware and software.
• General knowledge of Windows administration and troubleshooting.
• Ability to instruct users in basic computer use.

Responsibilities

• Provide entry level IT support for library staff at multiple sites.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network problems.
• Provide basic networking support.
• Interact with vendors to support and maintain the IT environment.
• Log requests in tracking systems; monitor progress and resolutions.
• Communicate with manager and end users about unresolved problems.
• Other duties as assigned.
