Job summary

Forsyth County Library seeks a Library Information Specialist to support public library services at the information desk, handling requests and processing new library cards while updating customer records and shelving materials.

You will assist patrons with technology on public computers and their own devices, including downloading eBooks and audiobooks, with duties spread over 18 hours per week including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Public service desk experience preferred.
• Ability to assist customers with technology.
• Knowledge of basic computer competency with current office software and technology.

Responsibilities

• Answer information requests from customers at the information desk.
• Issue library cards and update customer records; check out and shelve materials.
• Assist customers with technology on public computers and personal devices, including downloading eBooks and audiobooks.
