Qualifications

• Experience communicating clearly in person, over the phone, and in writing.
• Familiarity with internet and database services.
• Ability to operate library technology (PCs, email, MS Office) and related systems.
• Must be able to travel to assigned job locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary contact point for customers, resolving issues and guiding to staff resources.
• Greet customers proactively and answer reference questions in person, by phone, or online.
• Assist with library card accounts, applications, and account rules; process payments.
• Balance cash drawers, prepare deposits, and complete related reports.
• Open/close the location and support operations, supplies, and bulletin boards.
• Maintain and repair library materials, shelves, and lost/found items.
• Provide basic training on library technology to customers and staff.
• Coordinate volunteers and assist with staff training as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
