Job summary

Lane Libraries is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager for the Hamilton branch to lead daily operations, ensure excellent service, and support the Branch Manager.

This full-time role requires strong leadership, customer service focus, and the ability to supervise Circulation staff, manage records, and promote library programs to the community.

Evenings and weekends may be required; MLS degree is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with some college coursework or additional certification and 5+ years of supervision at an administrative level.
• MLS or related master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily branch operations in the Branch Manager's absence.
• Supervises Circulation Services and provides direct customer service.
• Hires, trains, and motivates staff to improve customer service.
