Job summary

Ohio Library is seeking a Branch Manager to oversee a library branch, supervise staff, manage budgets, and coordinate services in alignment with library goals.

Responsibilities include community engagement, collection development, programming coordination, and ensuring high-quality customer service; travel to branches locally is required. The role alternates with other Branch Managers and participates in the Library's Management Team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library and Information Science is required.
• OLC certification preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• 2+ years of supervising experience preferred.
• Pre-employment drug screening required.
• Criminal background and education verification checks required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff, coaches, trains, and manages performance.
• Manages budgets and monitors expenditures.
• Manages vendors and outside service providers.
• Oversees branch physical plant and safety.
• Selects and maintains materials for the collection.
• Represents the library and engages local groups.
• Leads planning, policy development, and coordination with Management Team.
