Job summary

Erie Insurance seeks a Supervising Liability Adjusters role to oversee claims teams across multiple branches, including in the HAL SE Unit. Position is in-office, with flexibility to work at specified VA, NC, MD, and WV offices.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, ensuring compliance, and guiding claims handling across jurisdictions. The role requires leadership experience in claims, a valid driver's license, and strong knowledge of coverage and reserves.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with six years of claims experience; or an associate degree with four years; or a bachelor's with two years.
• Experience in a leadership role preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Manages overall operations of designated area of authority; hires, trains, and directs personnel.
• Reviews claims for coverage and reserves; provides guidance and required action.
• Resolves coverage questions within authority and conducts necessary research.
• Maintains knowledge of adjusters' files and statutory laws.
• Participates with Claims Manager to evaluate procedures and improvements.
• Handles claim complaints and inquiries; may act on manager's behalf.
• Supports litigation processes and coordinates with outside counsel as needed.
