Job summary

Insurance Carrier in Indianapolis is seeking a Commercial Auto, Property GL Adjuster to handle liability and coverage issues across multiple lines. The role is in-office Monday through Friday with temp-to-hire potential and a possible hybrid after 6–12 months.

You will assess coverage, liability and damages, investigate claims, and resolve them per company and regulatory guidelines while maintaining strong service to partners and claimants.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with coverage review, claims investigation, administration, and settlement.
• Experience interpreting policies, endorsements, and DISCLAIMERS.
• Ability to manage reserves and provide documentation of handling.
• Ability to travel between off-site locations as needed.
• Indiana claims experience; multi-state preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review policy conditions, exclusions and endorsements to resolve coverage and liability issues.
• Prepare reservation of rights letters, non-waiver agreements, and coverageDISCLAIMERS to address claim coverage issues.
• Review and evaluate claim reserves to ensure reserves reflect exposure.
• Investigate claims to evaluate coverage and legal issues, including statements and records.
• Provide proper documentation and reporting of investigation and claims handling activities.
• Negotiate, including mediation/arbitration, settlements with claimants and counsel; provide settlement documents.
• Provide direction to defense counsel and third parties retained for claims.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
