Job summary

Amerisure Insurance Company in Illinois is seeking a Senior Commercial Auto & General Liability Adjuster to manage medium complexity/severity claims. This role, hybrid onsite 2 days a week, emphasizes collaboration with agents and policyholders, loss investigation, coverage interpretation, and proactive resolution strategies.

The ideal candidate has 3 years in GL/BI claims, is able to obtain state licensing, and can work with internal and external stakeholders while maintaining accurate reserves

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 years of experience handling general liability and/or bodily injury claims of medium complexity/severity.
• AIC or SCLA certification preferred.
• Ability to obtain appropriate state licensing as required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with agents, policyholders and internal stakeholders on medium complexity/severity claims.
• Investigate losses, evaluate liability and damages, review documents and pleadings.
• Develop action plan to conclude claims and settle within guidelines.
• Establish and maintain reserves to reflect financial exposure.
• Engage external resources as needed to resolve claims and control costs.
• Collaborate with internal partners on indemnifications and additional insured coverage.
• Assist counsel in managing litigated claims.
• Review policies to communicate coverage issues verbally and in writing.
