Job summary

Sentry Insurance is seeking a Claims Representative - Liability to manage a caseload, investigate liability, negotiate settlements, and resolve coverage and injury issues. This role focuses on Non-Attorney Represented Bodily Injury Auto Claims.

You will verify coverage, evaluate liability, set reserves, negotiate fair settlements, and document decisions while maintaining regulatory compliance. Hybrid work options and a range of benefits support your work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 1 year of related work experience.
• Ability to review and analyze detailed documents, insurance policies, coverages, and regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication; negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify coverage by reviewing policies and interpreting terms.
• Evaluate liability through statements, police reports and evidence; negotiate/deny liability.
• Set reserve amounts; negotiate settlements within guidelines; ensure timely payments.
• Document decisions and activities to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
• Provide empathetic service, explain the claims process, and communicate decisions clearly.
• Ability to obtain and maintain state licensing requirements.
